Not true pommele but I have built a couple Quilted Sapele. Here is one

Up here pomele and quilt sapele is known as the same thing ... here is one ... pretty decent, the sides show more of the worm look effect while ht back is more typical quilt .. nice colour changes as well...

I could be wrong, but pommele here seems to be characterized more by random bumps in the grain, rather than quilt. Quilt figure is much stronger.

Here's a pic of some pommele African Mahogany that I have. The figure isn't real strong, but you should be able to get the idea.

This was my first experience with sapele. It makes a very nice guitar. Not everyone is crazy enough to sunburst one, but I couldn't resist.

James, that is not crazy at all, that is one steller looking guitar right there. Love the curly maple apppointments too. You don't have a couple more pics we could gander at do ya?

Its maple/red dyed whoknowswhat/maple purf, bloodwood binding.
